Renewal of a drinking water main pipeline with CIPP lining in crowded suburb to Moscow.

In 2013, Mosvodokanal inspected the remaining wall thicknesses in some of the main steel pipelines supplying the city of Moscow with drinking water. The pipelines are transporting drinking water from a pumping station in the suburb of Moscow to the western part of the city. After the inspection, they decided that the pipeline should be renovated to avoid the risk of leakages.

Mosvodokanal decided that the renovation should be performed with CIPP lining to minimize the disruption of traffic and surroundings in the Rublevo area, as the pipelines where crossing ring road 3.

The project was carried out in less than four months

A total of 34 water installations were performed with three teams working at the same time. We managed to install one liner every second day in average. As a result, we completed the relining of the approx. 4.7-kilometre pipeline according to the agreed time schedule, and the project was implemented to the great satisfaction of the client.
