Laterals
For more than 30 years, Aarsleff Pipe Technologies have developed effective methods for No-Dig renewal of different types of pipes. In the ground as well as in buildings. Horizontal pipes as well as vertical pipes. The most important result of our development work is Aarsleff CIPP Lining which is a polyester liner that we invert into worn pipes. With Aarsleff CIPP Lining, we are able to renew sewer pipes, industrial process pipes and downpipes from toilet and kitchen.
Aarsleff CIPP Lining is the optimal solution for renewal of laterals. We avoid excavation of the worn pipes, and we minimize the inconvenience to the surroundings. We carry out the renewal in short time, and we ensure a considerable reduction of the costs compared to traditional renewal.
When we are to renew a lateral, we always start the work with a CTTV inspection followed by cleaning of the pipe in question. The CCTV inspection also registers exactly where the lateral is connected to the main pipe.
When a pipe has been inspected and is ready for renewal, we sometimes blow a preliner into the pipe. The preliner protects against leakage and infiltration during the relining process. When the preliner is in place, we insert a precisely measured Aarsleff CIPP Lining by means of air pressure. The liner finds its way through the lateral and is able to pass through bends of up to 90 degrees. We monitor the entire process from a TV inspection unit.
Curing of the liner is made with either steam or LED, which is light-emitting diodes. After only a few hours we can end the work and CCTV inspect the liner which is now hard and long-wearing. The final CCTV inspection is an integrated part of our targeted efforts of always recording and documenting the quality of our renewal work.
