Underpasses
Aarsleff Pipe Technologies has extensive experience with No-Dig renewal of underpasses and sub-crossings. And with Aarsleff CIPP Lining, we are in possession of the optimal method for execution of even complicated underpass jobs.
In most cases, when we are to renew an underpass running under or along a road or a railway track, we carry out the renewal process by means of only a single or a few trucks. We typically park the trucks at the side of road, in one of the road tracks or next to the railway track. From here, we can carry out all kinds of tasks, including CCTV inspection, cleaning and installation of Aarsleff CIPP Linings.
On some of the trucks, which are high-tech factories, we even constructed the equipment so that it can be divided into small mobile units. We can move these units around to get very close to the defect pipe. This also means that today we are able to renew underpasses, even under very bad conditions.
We carry out the installation of an Aarsleff CIPP Lining by pulling it to the underpass or sub-crossing that we are to renew. Then, we invert the liner into the pipe by means of air pressure.
Finally, we cure with the resin that all Aarsleff CIPP Linings are impregnated with. The result is a new pipe with an expected life of up to 100 years. The pipe is not only tight; it will also be stronger than the original pipe. Typically, we carry out CIPP Linings of underpasses and sub-crossing ranging from DN600 mm to 1200 mm in lengths from 25 m to 40 m.
