Custom-designed well covers in historic settings

Aarsleff Pipe Technologies’ Polish subsidiary, Per Aarsleff Polska Sp. z.o.o., was to hold a big anniversary celebration in 2003. In this connection, an employee visited the historic, baroque Wilanów Palace, which is today a museum. The visit was the beginning of a close working relationship. In our conversations about the anniversary with the museum’s director, it turned out that the museum had major problems with the pipe system, which was in very bad shape in various places. The result of the conversations was therefore a successful anniversary and a long working relationship about renewal of large parts of the palace’s pipe system.

Since then, we have extended our cooperation which now comprises more than pipe renewal. Since 2003, Per Aarsleff Polska Sp. z.o.o. has been involved in a number of different actions to promote the palace and the many activities that take place at this spectacular spot. Some examples of these activities are an annual calendar and musical events for children.

At present, the big park of the palace is being restored, and in this connection a number of well covers are to be replaced. In the autumn of 2009, Per Aarsleff Polska Sp. z.o.o. was asked to supply a number of custom-designed well covers. Not only for the park, but for the entire area of the palace. The answer was of course affirmative. This means that over the next two years, 200 well covers will be installed as yet another symbol of a very special partnership between culture and industry.
