Lateral openings

Since 1979, Aarsleff Pipe Technologies has developed sophisticated methods for No-Dig renewal of pipe systems. Today, we are able to renew many types and sizes of pipes by means of Aarsleff CIPP Lining and a number of specially developed products. Often under very difficult conditions. By means of Aarsleff CIPP Lining, we can renew pipes of diameters from DN58 to DN2000.

We always adapt our methods to the different tasks, and we are currently developing new methods for No-Dig renewal. In recent years, we have focused particularly on renewal of lateral openings which cause many leaks and thus problems to cable owners. We have developed Denmark’s tightest hat profile which, as the first hat profile, was tested and admitted to the Danish CSPR (No-Dig Control Scheme for Pipe Rehabilitation), part of the Danish Construction Association.

As part of our intensive development work, we have also developed Aarsleff Rat Control, a new effective method for blocking unused laterals from a sewer main. It is a totally new method which means that we mount the blocking from the main.

We have also developed a method which makes it possible to renew laterals that can only be entered from one end. The renewal is carried out by means of Aarsleff CIPP Lining. We call this method open end CIPP lining, and we use it when we renew a few metres from a manhole or when we renew the private part of a lateral towards property boundaries.

Aarsleff Hat Profile, Aarsleff Rat Control and our methods for open end CIPP lining are just a few results of our intensive development work.
