Double manhole renewal

Over the years, Aarsleff Pipe Technologies has built up great expertise in renewal of manholes, including double manholes where rainwater and wastewater is separated. However, many double manholes are now so old that they start to leak. Often, as a result, the rainwater starts infiltrating the wastewater section of the manhole.

Sometimes even big amounts of rainwater infiltrate the wastewater. Therefore, renewing – and thus also sealing – will reduce the load on the wastewater system. And ultimately, the load on the treatment plant.
As usual, we start by a thorough preliminary work which may include high-pressure flushing, repair of possible infiltrations and removal of possible step irons. We know how important it is to get off to a good start. Without thorough preliminary work, we risk that a manhole does not get the expected lifetime and that quality and price do not meet our own or the customers’ expectations.

Typically, we renew a double manhole by means of advanced equipment built up in small and very mobile installation units. These units are a result of our focus on constantly developing new methods and products. As a consequence, today we are able to renew double manholes without significant inconvenience to the surroundings.
